We believe play-based learning is the key to successful, happy, confident and resilient children who become masters of their own future learning
We believe every child is unique and are constantly learning, they can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. Our long term plan is a vision to ensure every child in the setting has a right to grow up safe and healthy, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and within economic wellbeing developing a secure foundation to prepare them for learning.
Play is a valued tool which children learn through, creating meaningful learning experiences unique to each individual child. We organise the preschool so it incorporates children’s interests and the environment itself becomes a teacher.
The staff observe the children while they play, they chat with them, take photos and make judgements on their current levels of development and strengths. They then use this information to ensure there are opportunities for your child to become engrossed in and thrive. We try to provide experiences which encourage children’s curiosity and critical thinking skills to develop. Our resources are usually open ended and may not what you would expect to see for children within preschool. We want children to decide how items are to be used in their play, they have much better imaginations than us adults.
