The certification recognises the effort from companies to implement Eco-friendly processes and behaviours both within their premises and teams.
To receive the Eco Agency’s certificate, companies must commit to at least eight Eco-friendly goals that help them grow more sustainably and reduce their carbon footprint. An agent from The Eco Agency then visits the company to assess and approve goal compliance.
The goals that Whickham Parochial Preschool has committed to include: digitisation, energy awareness, increasing awareness, lower transport emissions, paper smarter, packaging, recycling, reusable kitchen appliances and passive environmentalism
Tanya Wood, Director, said, “We want to encourage the staff, our families and the children to be more Eco-friendly.”
Cameron Shaw, CEO at The Eco Agency, said: “It can be daunting to take the first steps toward environmental sustainability: There are just so many different steps and actions that businesses can take. At The Eco Agency, we seek to simplify this process and believe that initial actions can already make a big difference.
We are incredibly excited to see Whickham Parochial Preschoolawarded join our Eco Agency community and go the extra mile to take its first step toward sustainable growth.”
