Whickham Parochial Preschool began in Sept 2017.
The staff team were originally at Washingwell Primary School running a preschool there, but were unable to expand to meet Whickham’s childcare needs. So, Andrea Warne and Tanya Wood began the new preschool on the grounds of Whickham Parochial Primary School, Alan Kain and Graham Cox listened to what we wanted from our new building and created what you see today.
The whole staff team from Washingwell Community Preschool moved too and a few new members joined us. We more than doubled in size and are now able to meet the growing childcare demands of Whickham and Sunniside.
