Our Sponsored Listen raised £1376.50

Wow! Wow! Wow!

A huge thank you to all our parents, their families and friends for supporting our sponsored listen which allowed us to buy over £2,000 worth of books. We have a wonderful parent, Angie who organised this for us, thank you so much.

The children listened to a total of 6949 minutes of stories which will have immensely increased their word knowledge and helped them learn a lot more imaginative ideas for their play. Books and stories are a valuable asset to children, helping them immerse into new worlds and expand their understanding. It’s a great excuse for a cuddle too while you read. We love to encourage children to think up their own stories from the book and create new endings or characters. Our preschool is now filled to the brim with new books including fact and fiction for both preschool and our Out of School Club.

We also have a lending library where children can now take books home to read, this is a free service and children can take as many as they want.
